The Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society is launching the Centennial Holiday Tree Festival this December in celebration of Port Coquitlam’s 100th birthday.
“We are inviting Port Coquitlam’s businesses and community groups to enter their holiday trees in a city-wide contest with the public voting for the best.” says Pippa Van Velzen, the Festival Coordinator. “As this is PoCo’s 100th birthday our goal is to have 100 trees entered.”

The Festival is an opportunity for business and community groups to tell their stories through the trees. The contest trees can either be at the entrant’s location or at one of the Festival Partner sites - Leigh Square, Terry Fox Library or Port Coquitlam Recreation Centre.

Cost to enter or sponsor a tree is $100 for businesses. Deadline for entry is November 15th. All proceeds go to fund the operations of the Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society.
